What should I expect?

We are known as a friendly church. Everyone is welcome. When we gather as the church, we want to celebrate Jesus and grow in our relationship with Him. Expect to be greeted. Expect to be loved. Expect to be encouraged. Expect to be challenged.

What do I wear?

You will find a wide range of clothing at North Highlands. Some wear jeans, others khakis, you may even see a tie or two. The bottom line is, we don’t care what you wear, we just want you to come.

What is a typical worship service like?

When we gather as the church, we want to celebrate Jesus and grow in our relationship with Him. We are known as a friendly and welcoming church so you should expect to be greeted, loved, encouraged and challenged. Our music is a blend of all styles led by our Worship Pastor, Praise Team, Band, and Choir that leads us into the right frame of spirit and mind to receive a message from our Pastor preached from the Bible. Though no one is pressured to give, we take up an offering in our services where our members can worship God with their tithes and offerings.

What do you do for security?

We want everyone to be able to worship without worry. Our youngest children have a security check-in system and all of our children’s workers have had background checks. We also have a trained security team on campus in the building and in the parking lot during the services.

What do you have for my kids?

We love children at North Highlands and feel they can learn about Jesus at very young ages. We have classes and activities for all ages throughout the week, but specifically during worship we have childcare for 3 and under, Kinderchurch for K4-K5, and Children’s Church during the message (they join adults for the music portion of the service) for 1st-3rd grade.

Where do I park?

We have plenty of parking in the front and back of the church. We also have special designated parking for guests clearly marked at the front of the church building, and at the back there are designated handicap parking available.

Does North Highlands stream its services?

Yes!. We stream our 10:00 AM Sunday worship services.

How do I become a member?

Membership is important. It’s a way for us to connect and commit to each other as a church body. But the most important thing is having a relationship with God through Jesus. Without this nothing else matters. If you would like to become a member of North Highlands contact our Pastor Here

Should I be Baptized?

Baptism is a beautiful picture of what God has already done inside of us as Christians. It does not save you. We are baptized to follow the example and command of Jesus and to publicly identify with Him. It is a picture of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and a sign of the new life that we have in Him. Every Christian should be baptized after they place their faith in Jesus.

What is "tithe" and "offerings"

Giving to the Lord is one of the ways we worship God. The word ‘tithe’ means tenth and serves as a basis for our financial giving. The word ‘offering’ as used in church is for giving that is either above our tithe or is giving for special and specific needs and collections.

What we believe

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and the Absolute Truth. It is inerrant in the original manuscripts and preserved by God, so that it is Supremely Divine and authoritative for all peoples at all times.

We believe that the Godhead exists eternally in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – that these three are one God.

We believe in God as the absolute and sole Creator of the Universe and that creation was six literal days, not through evolutionary process.

We believe that God, by His sovereign choice and out of love for mankind, sent Christ into the world to save sinners.

We believe that Jesus Christ in the flesh was both fully God and fully man; that He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life, in which He taught and performed mighty works, wonders and signs exactly as revealed in the four Gospels; that He was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins and was bodily raised from the dead on the third day. Later, He ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is the head of the Church and intercedes for believers and from where He is coming again, personally, bodily and visibly to this earth to set up His millennial kingdom.

We believe that in His death, by His shed blood, the Lord Jesus Christ made a perfect atonement for sin having redeemed us if we chose to accept Him as our Savior and Lord. And salvation for all mankind is only found through Jesus Christ. Men are therefore saved and justified on the simple and single ground of the shed blood.
