Why Hueytown?
Hueytown is described as "Small City, Big Heart". Hueytown is located just west of Birmingham, AL. It is a quiet, family-oriented city close to everything you could want. From community events, local food and activities; there is something for every family.
There are plenty of community activities for kids including baseball, soccer, basketball, football, dance and cheer just to name a few.
All of our grade schools are new (Hueytown Primary, Hueytown Intermediate and Concord Elementary). Hueytown Middle School is newly remodeled (6th-8th grades). Hueytown High school is right next door to the church. Hueytown High was the 2021 football State Champion runner-up and also home of the Heisman trophy winner Jameis Winston. Hueytown High softball team was the State Champion in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2011.
Hueytown Middle and High school also have wonderful fine arts programs. Starting this upcoming school year, Hueytown High School will have nine signature academies (Advanced Manufacturing, Agricultural Science, Automotive Technology, Biomedical Science, Broadcast Journalism, Engineering, JROTC, Logistics, Art-Music Technology).
Hueytown has great community events all throughout the year. Some of these regular events include:
-Hueytown Harvest Farmer's Market
-Hueytown Arts Council Art Show
-Community Easter Egg Hunt
-Mayor's Community Prayer Breakfast
-CityFest
-PawPalooza Dog Show
-"It's Fall Y'all" Fest
-Community Christmas Tree Lighting
-Christmas Parade
There are community parks with walking tracks throughout the community, including the beautiful walking track adjacent to our church property. And don't forget to visit the dog park with your doggies.
One of the great things about Hueytown is that it is a short drive to many things in the surrounding areas. Alabama Adventure & Splash Adventure is just minutes down the road. Birmingham has some great places to eat that are known around the country. Also Birmingham is home to:
-Birmingham Barons
-Birmingham Squadron
-Birmingham Bulls
-USFL (United States Football League)
-BJCC
-2022 World Games
For the nature lovers, visit the Birmingham Botanical Gardens or Aldridge Gardens. Looking for a great hike? Make a day trip to Oak Mountain state park, Red Mountain Park or Ruffner Mountain.
With a low cost of living, your paycheck will stretch further for you to experience all that Alabama has to offer.

Why North Highlands?
North Highlands is a church passionate about sharing the Gospel and loving our community. We want to make an impact in our neighborhoods and on the nations. We are a friendly church that feels like a family.
Everyone is welcome and we encourage everyone to come as they are. It is a great place to grow in groups and serve together as a family. We believe that God has gifted every person with gifts and we desire to see everyone using those gifts for His glory.
When we gather in worship, we expect to experience God and be changed by His presence.
You will be greeted, loved, encouraged and challenged. Our Worship Pastor and worship team skillfully lead us to the throne of grace and our Pastor faithfully preaches the truth from God's Word. Feel free to check out our services online (Youtube)
Our staff serves together as a team. It is a fun working environment. On a regular basis expect to laugh together, support one another and serve together. Our Pastor, Michael served 15 years at North Highlands as student pastor before becoming pastor in 2018. We genuinely love our church and our community.
